INTRODUCTION

This course is MCA and USCG recognized, issued by IYT (International Yacht Training), which grants candidates a Master of Yachts 200 Tons (Offshore) ticket, on completion of a 7 day theory course and 6 day practical (live on-board) course.

When it comes to facing the elements at sea, textbook knowledge is no substitute for practical experience.  Aspiring Yachtsmen and women must prepare themselves as much as possible before being able to truly take full responsibility for themselves, their vessels and their crews. IYT Master of Yachts Certification is of vital importance because it is currently the most globally recognized measure of competency for the commanding of power and sail vessels.  This certification not only makes yachting a pleasure, as it should be, but also a safer pursuit for all those who wish to participate now and in the future.

Unlike other courses, this course also includes a 6 day live aboard "hands on" module on a power or sailing vessel.
